Laser skin resurfacing is used to help with wrinkles, age spots, acne scars, and other blemishes as well as tighten the skin.

What type of laser do you have?

Sharp Light: The OmniMax S4 delivers effective solutions for hair removal, skin rejuvenation, body contouring, tattoo removal, the treatment of pigmented and vascular lesions, and more.

Sharp Light has patented “DPC Technology” (Dynamic Pulse Configuration) that utilizes 3 pulse modes (smooth, long, and high) permitting for easy configuration to permanently destroy those hard to eliminate hairs, veins, and pigments. Our OmniMax DPC modalities have a built-in Peltier cooling system in every hand piece which creates for a pain-free and comfortable treatment for your clients without the need for gliding gel or topical numbing agents. The hand pieces (all which contain a sapphire crystal tip) reach 17.6 degrees Fahrenheit before the treatment begins, hence making it that much more soothing while increasing the intensity for a more effective treatment.

Juvederm

What is Juvederm?

Hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a naturally occurring substance that delivers volume to the skin. Juvederm is a long-lasting, non-surgical option that contains a modified form of HA. Fillers that include HA are top choice for patients – over 90% of filler patients receive an HA dermal filler.

Where can Juvederm be injected?

Juvederm can be injected into facial cheeks, lines, lips, and chin. Each spot has different Juvederm needed. Examples are Juvederm Voluma XC for cheeks and chin, and Juvederm Ultra XC for lips and lines.

What will our Medical Spa be offering?

To start we will be offering lip fillers, later in the year we will be adding lines and further treatments.

Who should not use Juvederm?

Do not use these products if you have a history of multiple sever allergies or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), or if you are allergic to lidocaine or the Gram-positive bacterial proteins used in these products.

What are possible side effects?

The most commonly reported side effects with Juvederm injectable gels included injection-site redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, discoloration, and itching. Each patient has different responses; Topical numbing is used for maximal comfort.

What warnings should my doctor advise me about?

One of the risks with using dermal fillers is the unintentional injection into a blood vessel. The chances of this happening are very small, but if it does happen, the complications can be serious and may be permanent. These complications, which have been reported for facial injections, can include vision abnormalities, blindness, stroke, temporary scabs, or permanent scarring of the skin.

Do you have to wait for fillers for any reason?

The use of dermal fillers where skin sores, pimples, rashes, hives, cysts, or infection are present should be postponed, as this may delay healing or make skin problems worse.

Also, if you have had a COVID vaccine, you must wait at least 2 weeks to have fillers.

How long do fillers last?

Hyaluronic acid fillers typically last 6-9 months after being injected and will dissolve naturally over time.
